Driving in friendship highway is one of the best trip of Tibet. It leads us to high passes and altitude. It will be good to have rest day at Nyalam so, that our body is fit for the altitude. We come across View point like Tingri from where Highest mountain in the world is spectualar. We can have side trip to Milerippa cave, Shakya Monsatery, Shalu Monsatery, TashiLumpo Monastery which are on the way to Lhasa from Kathmandu. Yamdruk-Tso lake is spectualar. In this tour we will be touring central Tibet. Like we visit Jokhang Temple, Potala Palace, Sera and Derpung Monsatery. The oldest city, Barkhor is also worth visiting.
Day 01- Kathmandu arrival. On your arrival at Kathmandu we will pick you up and transfer you to hotel.
Day 02- Half day sightseeing tour around Kathmandu.
Day 03-Cross the border and drive to Nyalam /Distance=38km, Altitude= 3700m
Day 04- Rest day. We will hike to get acclimatize/fit in the altitude.
Day 05-Drive to Lhatse Distance=290km, Altitude=4250m
Day 06-Drive to Shegatse via Sakya Monastery Distance=190km
Day 07-Drive to Gyantse via Shalu Monastery / Distance=90km Altitude= 3950m
Day 08-Drive to Lhasa via Yamdrok lake / Distance=260km, Altitude= 3650m
Day 09-Lhasa sightseeing to Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Norbulingka Palace.
Day 10-Lhasa sightseeing to Drephung Monastery, Sera Monastery and Bakhor
Day 11-Drive back to Shegatse
Day 12-Drive to Zhangmu
Day 13-Drive to Kathmandu
Day 14- Free day or we will transfer you to international airport for your on ward journey.
