The Indus valley and Garuda Valley lies to the southwest of Mt Kailash. The Garuda Valley contains mysterious caves some of which have never been explored. The valley is the source of an ancient kingdom of Shangshung, the ruined cave cities in the valley are remains of early Tibetan civilization. For those interested in the archeological and historical sites, Garuda Valley offers a magnificent exploration. Return back to Tritapuri in the evening. Overnight in Tritapuri.
The Indus valley area is considered a sacred place in four religions: Hinduism, Buddhism, Bon and Jainism. It is considered to be the house of Lord Shiva and a place of eternal bliss. Indus valley River source trek is start from Dirapuk Monastery.
Day 01-Arrive Kathmandu/ we will pick up from airport and drive to hotel.
Day 02-Visa preparation day and half day tour around Kathmandu.
Day 03Fly to Lhasa. Upon arrival at Lhasa our guide you scot you to hotel. Free day rest to acclimatize.
Day 04Lhasa sightseeing/ tour to Potala Palace, Norbulingka Palace and Jokhang temple.
Day 05Lhasa sightseeing / tour to Drephung , Sera Monastery and Bakhor Square.
Day 06Drive to Gyantse Yamdrok Lake/Distance 260km, Altitude 3950m.
Day 07Drive to Shegatse Via Shalu Monastery, /Distance 90km, Altitude 3900m.
Day 08Drive to Lhatse Via Shakya Monastery, / Distance 145km, Altitude 4350m.
Day 09Drive to Saga /Distance 280km, Altitude 4600m.
Day 10Drive to Paryang /Distance 250km, Altitude 4520m
Day 11Drive to Manasarovar Distance 280km, Altitude 4588m
Day 12Rest day at Manasarovar/ visit Chu Gompa.
Day 13Drive to Darchen Distance 45km, Altitude 4700m
Day 14Trek to Derak puk Monastery/ Distance 20km, Time 6 hours, Altitude 4900m
Day 15: Trekking to the junction of three valleys
Day 16: Trekking to Senge Buk
Day 17: Trekking to Indus source
Day 18: Trekking to Camp 1 (beside 4 closed glacial lakes)
Day 19: Trekking to Camp 2 (at somewhere in a long and narrow valley beneath the highest pass of this trek 6200m)
Day 20: Trekking to Zuthul Phuk monastery
Day 21: Trek to Darchen and drive to Tirthapuri Visit the white and red hot springs and the retreat caves including the Padmasambhava or Guru Rimpoche's Cave. Taking a bath in the hot springs is supposed to cure sickness and wash away negative karma.
DAY 22: Sightseeing of the Garuda Valley.
DAY 23: Drive to Manasrowar (4,560m/15,000ft, 240km, 7-8 hours).
DAY 24: Transfer Mansarovar - Saga (4,600m/15,131ft, 535km, 10-12 hours).
DAY 25: Transfer Saga - Nyalam (3.750m/12335ft, 232km, 7-8 hours).
DAY 26: Transfer Nyalam - Kathmandu (1,355m/4,457ft, 156km, 7-8 hours).
