Cycling Kashgar to Kathmandu

Cycling Kashgar to Kathmandu While cycling from Kangsar(boarder of Pakistan) to Kathamandu we always have supporting vehicle to complete the trip in 22 days. We can be little flexible in our trip outline like we have option of cycling and driving in the begging. We will be crossing many passes which gives us view of Tibetan Pleatue. The following trip outline includes the tour towards western part of Tibet where Guge kingdom and Tholing and Tsaprang tour is included. This cycling tour also includes the Kailash Mansarovar. Our trip continues driving back to Kathmandu after completing tour to Lake Mansarovar.

Trip day to day itinerary

Day 01: Bike/ Cycle and drive Kashgar to Yarkand
( 200 kms, all desert, mostly driving )

Day 02: Bike/ cycle Yarkand to Kargilik
( 65kms, flat and sandy desert. Bike)

Day 03: Bike Kargilik to Mazar distance 235 kms.
Massive altitude gain over Kun Lun Mountains. (We take vehicle part of the way and bike rest.)

Day 04 to 10: Bike Mazar to Rutok / altitude:
4350m and 692 kms distance. (We bike part way and use vehicle)

Day 11 and 12: Rutok to Ali ( 125 kms cycling )

Day 13: Ali to Namru ( cycle 73 kms )

Day 14: Cycling and driving Namru to Zanda and Gugu ruins
( We must take vehicle as long journey and huge passes to cross)

Day 15: Rest day at Zanda and sight-seeing Toling and Tsaparang

Day 16: Cycle from Zanda to Songsha
( We must drive as it is adventurous journey)

Day 17: Biking from Songsha to Moincer (we bike 51 kms)

Day 18: Bike/ cycle Moincer to Mansarovar Lake. (We camp at Chiu 114 kms)

Day 19: Rest day at Mansarovar Lake (We can swim!!!)

Day 20: Drive to saga (We drive towards Zangbu-Kodari boarder)

Day 21: Drive to Nyalam

Day 22: We cross the friendship bridge and Drive to Kathmandu, capital city of Nepal.
